Sharesome is the only social media platform that does not discriminate against NSFW content, creators, and brands. Here you can freely promote all your other sites.
Sharesome plays a crucial role in creating an inclusive, judgment-free space where adult content creators, educators, and communities can express themselves freely. Unlike mainstream platforms that heavily restrict or censor NSFW content, Sharesome allows open discussions and artistic expression without fear of bans. It offers a safe environment for sex workers and adult creators, providing a secure space to promote content, engage with fans, and promote NSFW paysites.
Beyond content distribution, Sharesome helps normalize conversations about sexuality, promoting discussions on sexual health, consent, body positivity, and LGBTQ+ issues—topics often silenced elsewhere. It enables creators to promote their work directly without the constant risk of shadowbans or account suspensions. The platform fosters a supportive community, connecting people facing stigma and isolation, while offering spaces to share experiences and find solidarity.
Without algorithmic suppression, creators can reach their audience without penalties, making Sharesome essential for empowerment, education, and self-expression.
The following steps will explain in detail the features of Sharesome and how to use them efficiently, so that you can become more successful.
Step 1: Setup & Optimize Your Profile
Let’s start with the basics. Like every other social media platform, you get a profile that you can personalize the way you like best. First of all, you should upload a profile picture and a cover photo (we call it Banner). Use eye-catching, high-quality images that represents your brand. Maybe use the ones that you already have on other platforms, so that your fans can easily recognize you.
After you applied to become a Verified Star, add a short, flirty, or intriguing bio that includes what type of content you offer. Keep it simple but enticing. Add your paysite link (OnlyFans, Fansly, Stripchat, etc…). This way, we make sure that you are indeed a Star or working towards that goal.
How do you add a paysite, you ask? First of all, you added it already during the verification process. But you will also find a Settings page where you’ll find a tab labeled Links (Profile – Settings > Links). If you access that, you’re going to see a lot of fields, for multiple websites. Don’t panic! You don’t need to fill out every one of them, only the ones that you use.
Unlike your usual social media platforms, Sharesome allows you to add a Promoted Source to one of your paysites that you choose from the Links tab in Settings. This link is automatically added below your every post. In other words, every post on Sharesome automatically promotes and drives traffic to your paid content. This way, you provide an opportunity for the public to discover all your work. It won’t just boost your traffic numbers and your SEO ranking, it will also bring in the type of visitors you want to attract. If you have a pay site that is not yet listed, you can contact us and we’ll help you out. No worries, should you ever change your main monetization platform, you can switch all your existing posts on Sharesome to the new site with just one click by changing the Promoted Source.
We also published an article about how to add your links in our FAQ. You can find the article here:
https://sharesome.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/103000090877-as-a-star-or-brand-how-do-i-set-up-my-promoted-link-
We also recommend that you add your Sharesome profile link to your other sites, especially to your “Link in bio tool” (Linktree, Direct.me, LnK.Bio, etc…). This will not only help your profile grow, but fans will also discover your other social profiles and drive them to a safe and adult-friendly platform, where your sexy content will always be available and free of censorship.
Please note that you won’t need to use a “Link in bio tool” on Sharesome as you can add your NSFW paysites without any fear of being banned.
As a new creator on Sharesome, we have a deal for you: If you add Sharesome to your “Link in bio tool” (Linktree, or whatever you use), we give you a lot of views for free as a head start. Simply contact our account manager Tommy Hunt and ask him for the “Link in bio tool” campaign: https://sharesome.com/chat/TommyHunt/
Step 2: Post High-Quality Content Regularly
We published an article on how to post content on Sharesome in our FAQ. You can find the article here:
https://sharesome.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/103000302212-how-to-post-on-sharesome-
You can choose to post your Original Content on your timeline or in the most relevant and popular Topics. We recommend using the Topics for two reasons: You reach the right audience and grow your profile faster than on any other social network.
You can use Topics to show your content to the right audience. Topics are moderated communities around, well, certain topics. Topics have their own members and once you post to a topic, your content is shown to all those members. Make sure that your content fits to the Topic. Please read the Topic rules before you post. They are usually pretty basic and intuitive. You’ll come to find Topics like our infamous Ass Topic with over 1.2M members, the Nude Selfies Topic, or the TikTok XXX Topic, which almost self explain what type of content is expected there. Depending on the moderator, there will also limitations like the content preferences (straight, lesbian, gay, etc.), the kind of content (Original Content or Studio Content), or some other things the moderators want to achieve with their Topic . That’s why it’s important for you to know what to share and where and avoid having your content removed for not following the rules.
Please be aware that Sharesome has no influence on the rules set up by the moderators as they “own” their Topic. And as long as those rules operate in sync with our Community Guidelines and Terms, everything goes.
If you don’t find a Topic that suits your interests, you have the option to create your own. This is an opportunity to maybe discover other people that share your kinks. You can create up to five, but keep in mind that once created, a Topic cannot be deleted anymore. You can also apply to become a moderator of a certain Topic you fancy. To do that, you must post at least 20 times in that Topic and when you reach that number of posts, you’ll see a button below the rules that says Become a moderator. The existing moderators will decide whether to accept your request or not, so why not reach out to them first?
You might also find a Topic that is abandoned and needs a new owner here: https://sharesome.com/topics/mods/
Sharesome was designed to work around your busy daily routine, so we created some features like scheduled and queued posts. What do these mean exactly? We allow you to plan ahead. You’re going away this weekend and you just want to relax and not think about work and stuff. You can opt to schedule your posts over that weekend, by selecting an exact date and time when you want them to be shared.
We published an article on how to set up your posting frequency on Sharesome in our FAQ. You can find the article here:
https://sharesome.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/103000233694-how-do-i-set-up-my-posting-frequency-
Our recommendation regarding the frequency of the posts, especially the ones in the same topic, is to share them at least an hour apart. With that in mind, we encourage you to post on a regular basis and to not shy away from using the queue/schedule system. Post teasers, short clips, and photo sets to attract attention. Alternate pictures with clips and gifs, even just text, to figure out what works best for you.
Share behind-the-scenes content and interact with followers to build a fanbase. Check your notifications about new comments under your posts and answer them, or like those comments. Users will get a notification that you engaged with their feedback and will most likely come back to engage with your content more.
Add a relevant and compelling caption and call-to-action to your posts to invite people to comment on the post, follow your page and check out your paysites. This will make your posts more personal and people will be drawn to engage with your content.
Step 3: Generate More Traffic for Your Paysites
To run an adult based content business today, you have to manage customer acquisition on your own. So every adult content creator turns to existing platforms to build an audience: Instagram, X (Twitter), Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, even Tik Tok, and try to convert followers into paying fans. But by design, these platforms don’t allow NSFW content — which limits your ability to promote NSFW content. Many of you build huge followerships on these platforms, just to get banned after a while and start over.
But the problem goes even deeper: A lot of you run a successful media business with huge monthly turnover, but you can’t spend a single dollar in advertising on mainstream social media to grow it even further. Meanwhile, the U.S. Small Business Administration recommends spending 7 to 8 percent of your gross revenue for marketing and advertising. Media companies spend usually almost 30% of their overall budget on paid marketing.
Therefore Sharesome launched in June 2020 Promoted Posts as the first free social media platform to allow adult content creators to openly advertise their work. Today we show you how you set up and track your campaign on Sharesome. Campaigns are easy to set up and affordable, starting from $10.
Ads on Sharesome are paid in Flame Credits, our native token. You can buy them directly, starting from $10, or get Sharesome Premium, our social subscription, to boost your posts automatically and get FREE Flame Credits. Additionally, Sharesome Premium users top up their Flame Credits for a fixed price of 1 Cent per Flame Credit. That saves you up to 65% on the current prices.
Once you have Flame Credits in your wallet, you can choose any post of you that you want and click on “Promote Post”. We advise you to use a short vertical video under 30 seconds. Vertical videos click up to 10 times better than photos or horizontal videos.
Choose your budget in the next step. You can run campaigns daily, weekly, monthly, or until you stop them. Then, target your ad by choosing the category that fits the post, you, and your content the most. Finaly, add your OnlyFans link, and make sure you can track it in OnlyFans.
Make sure that you use a trackable OnlyFans link. You can set them up in your OnlyFans Profile Settings. (Note: Trial links are also trackable links.)
Step 4: Track Your Performance & Adjust
Check the progress of your ad campaign on Sharesome. Click on your Profile Picture and go to Ads.
You should focus on three numbers:
1. Clickthrough rate (CTR): CTR is the number of clicks that your ad receives divided by the number of times your ad is shown: clicks ÷ impressions = CTR. For example, if you had 5 clicks and 100 impressions, then your CTR would be 5%.
2. Conversion rate: Is the number of subscribers that your ad generates after they clicked on your ad. For example, if you had 50 new subscribers from 1,000 clicks, your conversion rate would be 5%, since 50 ÷ 1,000 = 5%.
3. Average revenue per user (ARPU): ARPU is calculated as total revenue divided by the number of subscribers. For example, if you had $250 total revenue from 50 subscribers, your ARPU would be $5, since $250 ÷ 50 = $5.
You should check those numbers on a monthly basis. They will start somewhere and should grow while you optimize everything.
On Sharesome the average CTR is right now between 0.14%-0.51%. The average conversion rate is at 0.61%-5.02%. The ARPU is between $1.26-$25.56.
If you need support in setting up and monitoring your campaign, just send an email to our Business Success Manager Tommy Hunt at [email protected] or write him a message on Sharesome: https://sharesome.com/tommyhunt/
The process is the same for any other platform (Fansly, Manyvids, etc.) that you want to advertise.
Sharesome also offers you a Analytics tool. Click on your Profile Picture and go to Analytics.
Here you should have a look at your engagement rate: Is the number of engagements (likes, shares, comments, saves, link clicks) that your post receives divided by the number of times your post is shown: engagements ÷ post views = engagement rate. For example, if you had 10 engagements and 1,000 post views, then your engagement rate would be 1%.
On Sharesome the average engagement rate is between 0.55%-1.39%.
