Sharesome Trust & Safety

Sharesome’s mission is to provide creators with a safe place to share content and one where everyone is free to explore their sexuality positively and mindfully. This is only possible when Sharesome maintains its safety and integrity and can be trusted by all our users, as well as our business and content partners. We remain absolutely committed to eliminating illegal content, including non-consensual intimate material and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) from the platform. Sharesome goes above and beyond the legal requirements, and the standards of our peers (Twitter/X and Reddit), to provide a safe platform for everyone.

Posts on Sharesome must be tagged to maintain and guarantee our high-quality content standards, as well as uphold the integrity of the platform. Our tagging system ensures accountability, authenticity, and allows everyone on Sharesome to trust the information shared. It’s quick and easy for verified users to tag a post, making it simple to keep and ensure these standards.

The tags need to answer the following questions:
Person(s): Who is in the content?
Source: Where can I buy the content?

When a post is tagged it is pending verification. This means that the tags are not visible until an Admin from the ModTeam reviews the post and confirms the tags are accurate. Once the tags are verified, they will be visible to everyone on Sharesome.

This process ensures that the information shared on Sharesome is accurate and trustworthy, and that the tags are relevant to the content of the post. It usually takes maximum 24 hours for an Admin from the ModTeam to review a post, but it can take longer during peak times. If a tag is rejected, the post will be untagged, and the post creator will receive a notification explaining why the tag was rejected.

Our Transparency Reports show our ongoing and proactive efforts to create the safest sex-positive social media platform in the world and provide insights and metrics about content moderation efforts by our moderators and admins, including content proactively removed as a result of automated content identification.
